Đức Giê-su và các môn đệ đến thành Giê-ri-khô. Khi Đức Giê-su cùng với các môn đệ và một đám người khá đông ra khỏi thành Giê-ri-khô, thì có một người mù đang ngồi ăn xin bên vệ đường, tên anh ta là Ba-ti-mê, con ông Ti-mê.
Sie kamen nach Jericho. Als er mit seinen Jüngern und einer großen Menschenmenge Jericho wieder verließ, saß am Weg ein blinder Bettler, Bartimäus, der Sohn des Timäus.
Then they came to Jericho. As Jesus and his disciples, together with a large crowd, were leaving the city, a blind man, Bartimaeus (which means "son of Timaeus"), was sitting by the roadside begging.
Vừa nghe nói đó là Đức Giê-su Na-da-rét, anh ta bắt đầu kêu lên rằng: “Lạy ông Giê-su, Con vua Đa-vít, xin dủ lòng thương tôi!”

When he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to shout, "Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!"
Nhiều người quát nạt bảo anh ta im đi, nhưng anh ta càng kêu lớn tiếng: “Lạy Con vua Đa-vít, xin dủ lòng thương tôi!”

Many rebuked him and told him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more, "Son of David, have mercy on me!"
Đức Giê-su đứng lại và nói: “Gọi anh ta lại đây!” Người ta gọi anh mù và bảo: “Cứ yên tâm, đứng dậy, Người gọi anh đấy!”
Jesus blieb stehen und sagte: Ruft ihn her! Sie riefen den Blinden und sagten zu ihm: Hab nur Mut, steh auf, er ruft dich
Jesus stopped and said, "Call him."So they called to the blind man, "Cheer up! On your feet! He's calling you."
Anh mù liền vất áo choàng lại, đứng phắt dậy mà đến gần Đức Giê-su.

Throwing his cloak aside, he jumped to his feet and came to Jesus.
Người hỏi: “Anh muốn tôi làm gì cho anh?” Anh mù đáp: “Thưa Thầy, xin cho tôi nhìn thấy được.”
Und Jesus fragte ihn: Was willst du, dass ich dir tue? Der Blinde antwortete: Rabbuni, ich möchte sehen können.
What do you want me to do for you? Jesus asked him.The blind man said, "Rabbi, I want to see."
Người nói: “Anh hãy đi, lòng tin của anh đã cứu anh!” Tức khắc, anh ta nhìn thấy được và đi theo Người trên con đường Người đi.
Da sagte Jesus zu ihm: Geh! Dein Glaube hat dich gerettet. Im gleichen Augenblick konnte er sehen und er folgte Jesus auf seinem Weg nach.
Go, said Jesus, "your faith has healed you." Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus along the road.
