Gospel to John 6a.11b-19

 

Khi ấy Chúa Giêsu ngước mắt lên trời và cầu nguyện : Lạy Cha,những kẻ Cha đã chọn từ giữa thế gian mà ban cho con, con đã cho họ biết danh Cha.

In jener Zeit erhob Jesus seine Augen zum Himmel und betete: Vater, ich habe deinen Namen den Menschen offenbart, die du mir aus der Welt gegeben hast.

At that time Jesus lifted his eyes to heaven and prayed:I have revealed your name to those whom you took from the world to give me.

 

Lạy Cha chí thánh, xin gìn giữ các môn đệ trong danh Cha mà Cha đã ban cho con, để họ nên một như chúng ta.

Heiliger Vater, bewahre sie in deinem Namen, den du mir gegeben hast, damit sie eins sind wie wir.

Holy Father, keep those you have given me true to your name, so that they may be one like us.

 

Khi còn ở với họ, con đã gìn giữ họ trong danh Cha mà Cha đã ban cho con. Con đã canh giữ, và không một ai trong họ phải hư mất, trừ đứa con hư hỏng, để ứng nghiệm lời Kinh Thánh.

Solange ich bei ihnen war, bewahrte ich sie in deinem Namen, den du mir gegeben hast. Und ich habe sie behütet, und keiner von ihnen ging verloren, außer dem Sohn des Verderbens, damit sich die Schrift erfüllt.

While I was with them, I kept those you had given me true to your name. I have watched over them and not one is lost except one who was destined to be lost, and this was to fulfil the scriptures.

 

Bây giờ, con đến cùng Cha, và con nói những điều này lúc còn ở thế gian, để họ được hưởng trọn vẹn niềm vui của con.

Aber jetzt gehe ich zu dir. Doch dies rede ich noch in der Welt, damit sie meine Freude in Fülle in sich haben.

But now I am coming to you and I say these things in the world to share my joy wit:h them to the full.

 

Con đã truyền lại cho họ lời của Cha, và thế gian đã ghét họ, vì họ không thuộc về thế gian, cũng như con đây không thuộc về thế gian.

Ich habe ihnen dein Wort gegeben, und die Welt hat sie gehasst, weil sie nicht von der Welt sind, wie auch ich nicht von der Welt bin.

I passed your word on to them, and the world hated them, because they belong to the world no more than I belong to the world.

 

Con không xin Cha cất họ khỏi thế gian, nhưng xin Cha gìn giữ họ khỏi ác thần.

Ich bitte nicht, dass du sie aus der Welt nimmst, sondern dass du sie vor dem Bösen bewahrst.

I am not asking you to remove them from the world, but to protect them from the Evil One.

 

Họ không thuộc về thế gian cũng như con đây không thuộc về thế gian.

Sie sind nicht von der Welt, wie auch ich nicht von der Welt bin.

They do not belong to the world any more than I belong to the world.

 

Xin Cha lấy sự thật mà thánh hiến họ. Lời Cha là sự thật.

Heilige sie in der Wahrheit; dein Wort ist Wahrheit.

Consecrate them in the truth; your word is truth.

 

Như Cha đã sai con đến thế gian, thì con cũng sai họ đến thế gian.

Wie du mich in die Welt gesandt hast, so habe auch ich sie in die Welt gesandt.

As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world,

 

Vì họ, con xin thánh hiến chính mình con, để nhờ sự thật, họ cũng được thánh hiến.

Und ich heilige mich für sie, damit auch sie in der Wahrheit geheiligt sind.

and for their sake I consecrate myself so that they too may be consecrated in truth.
